Letter of Proposal Dated 2002:

Dear Ms. Logan,

I am a former alumnus of South Shore Center and I attended the school from 1994 to 1995. My name is Christopher Camporeale and I am 12 years old, and currently in the sixth grade at Canton Intermediate School in Canton Connecticut Along with schoolwork I participate in many curricular / extracurricular activities such as Band, Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Honors Math, T.A.G. (Talented and Gifted) class, basketball, jujitsu and piano, but above all, my passion is computers. As you may remember when I attended your school, I would always use the computers provided for us, and I would go into the control panel and change the settings on the old Apples® just to satisfy my own curiosity. Since then, my curiosity has brought me to a new level.
I have created my own small business, AdvanTech Micro Solutions; to help people with computer related services. I have built a few PCs for clients, as well as repaired them and maintain them I also just recently developed an advanced web site, using open-directory scripting, for the Canton Board of Education. You will be able to view it at http://www.cantonschools.org (The old one has a gray theme to it and is not the one I created. Look for my name on the front, the new theme for it is blue.) You may not be able to see it for a couple of weeks, due to server related issues.
I have just received an award in recognition of my efforts as a C.I.S. Certified Technology Assistant I am also pursuing, under the mentorship of the District Superintendent; Dr. Anthony Serio, to become an A+ CompTIA Certified Service Technician, and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE I have many great memories of my year at South Shore Center. You have given a base to my life of learning. (I will also be taking French next year, to build on the vocabulary that I started there.)
I have been working on developing my business further and creating new clients. I have noticed, through a little web searching, that The South Shore Center for Gifted Preschool Children does not have a web site. If you would be interested in giving me the opportunity to create a web site for you, it would be an honor for me to do so. Because I am just starting out, and understand the value of experience over income, I can deliver equivalent features, scripting, and options for a cost much lower than an average web designer. If you are interested, please contact me at or at (860)-693-0237.
I hope all is well for you, and that your students are enjoying their experience at South Shore Center as much as I did.

Sincerely,
Chris Camporeale
AdvanTech

MEMORANDUM

TO: Parents of Children attending THE SOUTH SHORE CENTER FOR GIFTED PRESCHOOL CHILDREN, INC.

FROM: Geraldine Logan, Program Director South Shore Center Faculty

Dr. George J. Cavuto

SUBJECT: ATTACHMENT

DATE: May 29, 2002

We frequently receive letters from our former students telling us about their lives and accomplishments. Needless to say, we are always pleased when our “alum" take the time to write and/or visit.

The attached letter was sent to us by Christopher Camporeale (Class of ‘95). It is very special and, for this reason, we would like to share it with you (with Christopher’s permission, of course). Please allow us to take this opportunity to encourage each and every one of you to “keep in touch” after your child has “graduated” from our program. We have the privilege of working with a very special group of children; we take great pride in their present (and future) accomplishments.

(NOTE: We have taken Christopher up on his offer! At the present time, he is in the process of creating a Web Site for our school.)
